Hime-chan, [It's warmth in his voice, pure and simple.] -it's the best.

[ Oh, good. She sags a little with relief, her heart swelling with the warmth in his voice. ]

Heehee, good. Do you have a lot of plants that you take care of back home?

It's not really a lot, 'cause sometimes I gotta go away to train'ttebayo, but I got a couple.

D'you do anything like that?

[ To train... that's right, he must be a ninja like Mister Sasuke. ]

I have some flowers in my room, but I think the maids look after them better than I do.

You should see the gardens at the palace, though! Everything is so beautiful... it's one of my favorite places to go.

[acknowledges]

[A garden. He can't really imagine it- maybe a place like that would be like a big flower shop? He isn't all that surprised to hear that it'd be one of her favorite places to go, if that was the case.]

Which ones are your favorite? Does that mean there's lots of people who look after it?

My favorites? I really like the camellias and peonies... they're so pretty.

Mmhm. There are a lot of groundskeepers and gardeners that take care of the garden, and they do a really good job. I wish you could see it...

[acknowledges]

Well, I guess if lots of people here work together, we might be able to make somethin' like that here.

O-Oh... do you think so? I wouldn't know the first thing about making a garden...

[acknowledges]

I've never done anything like that either, but how hard could it be?

I'm sure you can do it. If you like to take care of plants, then you must be good at it, right?

Actually- [The sudden pang of sheepishness has Naruto lowering his head, scrubbing at the back of his neck.] I always thought it'd be nice to have somebody to do stuff like this with.

[ She's surprised that someone as friendly and radiant as Naruto would ever have problems finding someone to do stuff like this with. But he wants her, so... ]
